The Battle of Gallipoli is such an interesting part of history and such an important part. It really shaped our nation and who we are. You taught me the date they evacuated the beach.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!
Kia Ora Miss Holland,
DeleteThank you and I'm glad you learnt something from my post!
Hi Kata,
ReplyDeleteyou did a good job identify key facts about Gallipoli. Did you know that New Zealand fought in that battle because it was a key strategic place for the British, it would allow them to help Russia with supplies? I think I am right in saying Winston Churchill was the person who came up with the plan. Did you know that the Ottoman Empire were a part of the Axis (the name of the people who fought with Germany).
